Quite Possibly the BEST Cross Stitch Magazine- Jill Oxton
I was at my local Chapters book store last week and browsed the magazine rack that houses the cross stitch magazines. I usually don’t spend much time looking as I don’t like cutesy teddy bears or anything Mickey Mouse or Pooh. I like non-traditional designs but also like classic- nothing country or even folky. A cover of one magazine happened to catch my eye- Jill Oxton’s Cross Stitch and Beading WOW! I was blown away. The price was intimidating but worth every penny. There was a gorgeous Paul Klimt pattern in there that was breath taking- also many interesting projects like Celtic barrettes. The magazine also has bead designs. I haven’t delved into bead work big time but I may just this Fall.
If you get a chance to look at this magazine- take a peek. Loaded with so many interesting ideas and patterns that are untypical.
