Joy of Mother’s Day Cards Made By Kids

Published by mstewart at 11:53 pm under Paper Crafts Edit This

As a mo I know I Much prefer a handmade card I can put into a scrapbook versus one picked out from the drugstore or dollar store. It can be a simple as a hand print on some colored card stock or favourite stamps inked on a post card.

Every year my husband asks me want for Mother’s Day . I of course love breakfast in bed and fresh flowers- I thin I more like the look in my kids faces that they doing something special for . Its not what the give me- ts how they look when they are doing it it. Can bring a tear to my eye even now.

I know what goes on in their minds when we make a card for grandma, dad or a friends- They put a lot of thought into the color of the paper, what stamp or sticker to use and what words to write. It warms me to know that when I hold one of the cards they make in my hand that they once felt that way making THIS card, The little homemade card brings me to the feeling I have watching them create, being children and the simple love they have.

I can cherish that feeling much more than a pair of slippers or a new scarf.
